Rise and fall with every breath. The simplest patient monitor in the room.

Mallard 2400V
Small animal ventilation
you can take into the MRI.
The only U.S.-made ventilator certified MRI-compatible. Built around one job, refined over four decades - trusted in vet schools since 1985.
SMALL ANIMAL VENTILATION, PERFECTED
Bellows you can see, knobs you can feel, and an MRI-ready build that goes where touchscreens can't. Ready for any anesthesia machine you own.
Ascending bellows
Real knobs, clear LCD
Microprocessor precision with
dedicated physical controls. Set it, and it holds steady(only for the electronic version).
dedicated physical controls. Set it, and it holds steady(only for the electronic version).
Only for the electric version.

MRI-compatible
An optional all-pneumatic version goes inside the scanner — no electronics, no ferrous metal.
Built since 1985
Powder-coated steel built to run 20+ years - the standard taught in vet schools.

Optional MRI-conditional model
Built to work
inside the MRI.
Most anesthesia machines have to stay outside the scanner room. Our MRI-conditional model doesn't. With no electronics and no ferrous metal, it runs on gas alone, staying at your patient's side throughout the scan. Tested at 3 Tesla.
Fully pneumatic. Zero electronics.
Runs on oxygen or air alone. No power, and nothing to interfere with the scan.
Non-ferrous throughout.
Not a trace of magnetic metal, so it's safe right up against the bore.
Tested at 3 Tesla.
Proven in the high-field magnets used across clinical MRI.

Visible ascending bellows
See every breath
your patient takes.
Rising and falling with every breath, the bellows turn ventilation into something you can see.
Visible ascending bellows. The same ascending design trusted in human anesthesia - proven over decades.
Catch a leak by eye. When the circuit leaks, the bellows fail to refill and visibly collapse so you catch trouble immediately.
Less work for the lungs. Engineered to lower breathing resistance, the ascending design lets every breath come easier, even on the weakest lungs.
Precision control
Real knobs,
not a touchscreen.
Engineered for unparalleled reliability and ease of use, boasting a microprocessor-based control system and adjustable flow rate up to 120 Liters per minute.

A Mallard from the '90s is still working today.
Built from powder-coated steel and industrial-grade bellows, the 2400V is made to run 20 years and more. In production since 1985 and named the standard of care in Lumb & Jones, it's the machine a generation of veterinarians learned on.

Built for decades
Powder-coated steel and aerospace-grade polymer, engineered from the ground up for decades of service.
Control and safety
Three safeguards.
Each works on its own.
Pneumatic, mechanical and electronic protection. So a single failure never stops the breath.
A breath without power.
Press the pneumatic button and a breath flows straight from the oxygen or air supply - no electronics needed.
Pressure held in check.
An adjustable governor starts releasing at 50 cm H₂O and fully opens by 80 - bleeding off pressure before it can ever reach the lungs.
Alarms that speak up.
Visual and audible alerts the moment anything shifts - a missed cycle, low gas, a loss of power (only for electric version).
Only for the electric version.
PRECISION VENTILATION
Quiet enough to think over, strong enough to count on.
Extremely quite & smooth in operation
The Mallards are some of the quietest anesthesia ventilator on the market - tested at just 61 dB on the small animal system and 66 dB on the large animal system, about the level of a normal conversation. The quiet, smooth operation reduces stress in the surgical environment, so your team can communicate clearly and focus on the patient, not the machine.
Rolls to the patient. Locks for the procedure.
On its portable chassis with locking casters, the Mallards moves easily between prep, surgery, and imaging - then locks firmly in place for the duration of the procedure. When the patient can't come to you, from an equine recovery stall to a zoo holding area, the machine goes where it's needed.
No disassembly required for cleaning
The bellows clean in place - no teardown, no removed parts, no service visit. Routine cleaning and maintenance can be handled in-facility by your own qualified techs, which means less downtime and a machine that stays in service, procedure after procedure.
